Bennington is the 3rd largest town in the state of Vermont, in the US. It is one of the most populous towns in the state. It is located on the western border of the Green Mountains. The Walloomsac River runs through its mainland, flowing towards the east. The river has contributed to the early development of several industrial sectors in this region. Bennington is known for its exceptional pottery and textile works.   • The Bennington Battle Monument

 

This battle monument is a part of the historic village of Old Bennington. The place was built at the site of the historic battle that took place in the year 1777. In this battle, the British army was dis-featured by the American troops led by Brigadier General, John Stark. The monument which is 61 meters tall serves as an observatory that offers an amazing view of the entire town and beyond.

  • The Bennington Museum
